UT Ladakh reports 59 new Covid-19 positive cases; 19 patients cured and discharged

Leh, Jan 09: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, 59 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. The positive sample reports were received by CMO Leh. No death was reported yesterday.
While a total of 712 sample reports were tested in UT Ladakh. 483 sample reports in Leh and 169 sample reports in Kargil were found negative.
The bulletin further informs that 19 patients have been discharged. The patients were discharged by CMO Leh.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh is 281; 244 cases in Leh and 37 cases in Kargil district.
The bulletin further informs that 350 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 93 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post and 100 passengers were screened at Khangral check post.
