UT Ladakh reports 35 new Covid-19 positive cases; 14 patients cured and discharged

Leh, Dec 29: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, 35 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. 32 positive sample reports were received by CMO Leh and three positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil. No death from Covid-19 was reported in Ladakh yesterday.
While a total of 1132 sample reports were tested in UT Ladakh. 583 sample reports in Leh and 509 sample reports in Kargil were found to be negative.
The bulletin further informs that 14 patients were discharged. The patients were discharged by CMO Leh.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 active cases in UT Ladakh is 214; 159 cases in Leh and 55 cases in Kargil district.
The bulletin further informs that 723 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 260 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post.
