    Indicative Syllabus notified by SSC for Selection Post Examination, Phase-IX,2021:

    Matriculation level:

    • General Intelligence: It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.
    • General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the general awareness of the environment and its application to the society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
    • Quantitative Aptitude: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
    • English Language: Candidates understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. 20 his/her writing ability would be tested.
    • 10+2 (Higher Secondary) level
    • General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation ,Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences, Figural Classification, Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding, Semantic Series, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and decoding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.
    • General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment and its application to the society. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & 22 Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.

    1.    Detail of posts to be advertised by SSC with Pay Structure/Minimum Qualification/No of posts.

     

    A total of 797 posts have been cleared for advertisement by SSC. The details of posts are under Vacancy Position tab.

    2.    When will SSC issue notification for referred posts and Conduct Examination.

     

    The notice for the posts of Ladakh referred to SSC will be published in the month of May, 2022. The tentative schedule is as under

    • Name of Examination: Selection post Recruitment/Ladakh/2022.
    • Tier/Phase :Computer Based Exam (CBE).
    • Tentative Date of Advertisement: 10.05.2022.
    • Closing date :09.06.2022
    • Date of exam : July 2022( Exact dates would be notified separately for various exams)

     

     

    3.    Whether there is a requirement of Resident Certificate for recruitment to the posts referred to SSC by the Administration of Union territory of Ladakh.

     

    Yes, the candidate/ applicant should be a Resident of Ladakh and should possess a Resident Certificate issued by a Competent Authority in accordance with the Union territory of Ladakh Grant of Resident Certificate (Procedure) Order, 2021.

    4.    Whether there would be only one tier/Phase exam or multiple tier/Phase.

     

    There will be single Tier/Phase.According to the number of candidates, CBE may be conducted in more than one shift. However, skill Test, wherever required, will be conducted separately.

    5.    Whether there would be single level of exam for all the posts or different level? If different levels for different posts details thereof.

     

    The levels of exam will be different for different posts based on the minimum eligibility qualification  which are as under.

    i.Matriculate Level.

    ii. 10+2 Level.

    iii. Graduation & above Level

    6.    What will be the Syllabus for the referred posts.

     

    The indicative Syllabus notified by SSC for Selection Post Examination, Phase-IX,2021 is under SSC Syllabus tab. This is tentative syllabus and candidates must follow the SSC Guidelines/Instruction in this regards on its website.
    7. Whether there will be separate syllabus for technical posts.

    There will be no separate syllabus for technical posts. However, the Candidate must fulfill the minimum education qualification required for the post.

    e.g For Junior Engineer

    Minimum Qualification – “Degree  (B.Tech / B.E) / Three (03) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from any government recognized Institute/ University (Full Time/Regular)”

    8.    Whether there will be skill test  for certain posts.

     

    Yes, skill test will be conducted wherever there is a requirement of specific skill as provided under the relevant Recruitment Rule of the Department. The skill test will be a qualifying test.

     

    e.g1.Junior Assistant : To qualify type test with speed of not less than 35 words per minute on computer key board.

          2. Junior Stenographer: To qualify minimum speed of 65 and 35 words per minute in shorthand and computer type writing respectively.

     

    9.  Whether SSC prescribe any cut-off marks for preparing the select list.

    Candidates scoring less than cut-off marks as given below will not be considered for recruitment:

     

    UR     :35%

    EWS  :30%

    Other categories :25%

     

    Depending on the number of vacancies of a particular category of posts, candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the score and merit of candidates in the Computer Based Examination in the following ratio:

     

    i.             In the ratio of 1:20, for upto 5 vacancies for any categories of posts.

    ii.            In the ratio of 1:10, for more than 5 vacancies for any categories of posts, subject to minimum 100.

     

    10.  Whether the exam will be Written or Computer Based Exam or OMR based?

     

    The exam will be a Computer Based Exam (CBE).
