    Secy Tourism Kacho Mehboob convenes ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ meeting

    Leh, 2 June: Secretary, Tourism and Culture, UT Ladakh, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan chaired a meeting regarding the celebration of “Har Ghar Tiranga” under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
    As a part of the celebration of 75 years of independent India and to honour our national flag, all the citizens are requested to hoist the national flag on the roof-tops of their homes during the Independence week from August 11-17, 2022.
    During the meeting, the Secretary briefed the concerned officials about the action plans that need to be taken up by different institutions, organisations and departments such as Health Centres, Panchayat, Schools, Colleges, Transport, Police, Media and others.
    In order to publicise this celebration, the Secretary directed the officials that the government, private and public buses, taxis and vehicles should also carry messages and stickers publicising ‘Har Ghar Tiranga”.
    The Secretary also urged that professional artists should be identified for wall paintings to be created at public spots with high footfalls. He also directed for wide publicity of the programme through nukkad natak and jingles in local languages.
    During the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the National flag will be hoisted on all the Government buildings, educational institutions, professional and commercial establishments, police stations/chowkis, restaurants, shopping complexes and others, added the Secretary, Kacho Mehboob.
    To make the campaign successful, he asked all the concerned officers to make necessary preparations. He further urged to ensure maximum public participation to make the celebration memorable.
    The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Santosh Sukhdeve; Director, Tourism Department, Ladakh Kunzes Angmo; Deputy Secretary, LAACL Leh, Tsewang Paljor and Deputy Secretary, LAACL, Kargil, Nazir Hussain.
