NISR to establish yoga centre with MDNIY in Leh

Leh, March 29: National Institute of Sowa Rigpa (NSIR), Leh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), New Delhi, on March 28, to establish a Yoga Centre at NSIR Leh with the technical and financial support of MDNIY.
Director, NSIR Leh, Dr Padma Gurmet and Director, MDNIY New Delhi, Dr Ishwar V Basavaraddi, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga would provide financial assistance to engage a yoga staff for the smooth functioning of the Yoga Therapy and Training Centre at the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh.
Moreover, there would be provisions for training, research and yoga therapy at the Yoga Centre.
