Nimu-Padum-Darcha Road via Shinkunla closed for traffic till summer 2022

KARGIL, NOVEMBER 02, 2021: As per a recent notification of the Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kargil, the general public of Zanskar Sub Division has been informed that according to the notice issued by the Deputy Commissioner Lahaul & Spiti of Himachal Pradesh on 31-10-2021, there is probability of erratic snowfall over the district of Lahaul and Spiti in coming days.

Therefore, from 2nd November 2021, the Nimo-Padum-Darcha Road via Shinkunla will remain closed for movement of all types of vehicles till the summer of 2022.

Further, it has been informed to the general public and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel to these roads, and have been further requested to spread this information to maximum people so that any unpleasant incident can be avoided.
