MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal reviews progress on CSSs under DISHA

Leh Feb 18: Chairman, DISHA, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal today chaired a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) to review progress on implementation of various Central Sponsored Scheme in Leh district.
Chairman Disha reviewed the sector wise physical and financial progress on various development works being executed under various Centrally Sponsored schemes and UT based schemes.
Detailed deliberation was held on various schemes being implemented under different sectors of the district including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, National Social Assistance Programme, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY),Pradhan Mantri Awaz Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana Integrated water shed management programme (PMKSY-IWMP),Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP), Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY), Smart City Mission, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) etc
CPO, Leh gave a PowerPoint presentation on the achievement and progress made under different centrally sponsored schemes by different departments in the Leh District.
While reviewing implementation of key schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission, PM KISSAN, Din Dayal Upadhay Gramin Jyoti Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission etc which comes under different department like Rural, Education, Health, PWD, Social Welfare, Labor Department, Power Development Department etc. He addressed the officers that the aim of holding DISHA meeting is to identify any impediments in smooth implementation of schemes so that effective solutions can be worked out.
He directed the concerned officers of the department to ensure 100% coverage of beneficiaries under different schemes.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also directed the concerned officers to identify the problems they been facing in every sector like healthcare, education, roads and submit it to him as well as to CEC & DC Leh.
He directed the HOD of Agriculture Department to expedite the pace of work and asked to be more focus and target oriented so that the performance of the department is more.
He directed the Chief Agriculture Officer to called upon different departments which are related to DISHA and submit the list as soon as possible
He also emphasized on working in collaboration with different departments so that the repetition of work is excluded.
He praised the work done by the Health Department and PHE for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.
He asked Deputy CMO about the current status of Covid cases and gave suggestion that every labourer/ travellers returned from outside UT is being properly taken care of and assured to increase the man power to handle the situation especially at airports.
