MC Kargil organizes 2-day training program on management of solid waste, composting.

Kargil, May 31, 2023:
In wake of World Environment Week, Municipal Committee Kargil in collaboration with team of LEDeG Leh organised two-day training program from May 30 among the inhabitants of municipal limits of Kargil town regarding the management of solid waste and composting.
The training program was aimed to educate and equip the residents of Kargil town with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage their waste and reduce their environmental impact which involves proper collection, segregation and disposal of waste and composting.
Through this program, participants will learn the composting techniques to recycle organic waste and produce compost that can be used as a natural fertilizer.
This initiative will not only help in reducing the environmental impact of waste but also contribute to the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the town.
