Ladakhi runners shines at Delhi Marathon

Leh, Mar 28: Department of Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh, congratulated athletes from UT Ladakh for bringing laurels and splendid performances in the Seventh Edition of the Ageas Federal Life Insurance New Delhi Marathon organized by NEB Sports held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on March 27.
In the event, Tashi Ladol secured first place where she finished with the timing of 1 hour 27 mins and 49 seconds, to complete 21 km in Elite Half Marathon and Diskit Dolma secured 3rd position in Elite Full Marathon at the Ageas Federal New Delhi Marathon 2022. She clocked the timing of 3 hours 22 minutes and 06 seconds to complete 42 km at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
Lt. Governor, UT Ladakh and CEC LAHDC, Leh have congratulated the whole team. Similarly, Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, UT of Ladakh also appreciated the efforts and hard work of Stanzin Wangchuk and Nawang Tsering during the marathon. As Nawang Tsering clocked 2 hour 39 minutes and 39 seconds which is so far the best timing by any Ladakhi Marathon-Runner (Men) breaking his own record which was 2 hours 42 minutes and 49 seconds of last year.
The team of UT Ladakh was accompanied by coach/manager Tsering Stobgais and the Department of Youth Services and Sport has funded the team to participate/represent UT Ladakh in the event.
