EC Mohsin Ali visits far-flung areas of Shakar Chiktan to review JJM scheme

KARGIL, JANUARY 01, 2022: Executive Councilor for Health, Mohsin Ali, along with Assistant Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer, PHE Division Kargil, on Friday visited far-flung areas of Shakar Chiktan including Pachari, Kukshow and Dargoo to review the progress of works being undertaken by the PHE department especially under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scheme.

The EC met concerned PRI members of the area and discussed the successful implementation of JJM scheme in the villages. The PRI members put forth their demands before the Executive Councilor.

EC Mohsin directed Assistant Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer PHE Kargil, to prepare a DPR after consultation with local representatives/PRI members of the respective areas, before its implementation on the ground, so that the schemes will function properly as per need of the general public.

The EC further instructed the PRI members and villagers to support the PHE department to complete the JJM scheme in their respective areas.

The Executive Councilor also inspected the newly constructed artificial glacier at Kukshow. He said that the glacier will be beneficial for the villagers during the summer season and also assured to give more funds for the glacier during the next financial year.
