Dy Chairman reviews status of educational schemes in Leh

Leh, Jan 25: Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk convened a review meeting virtually with the Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) of Leh District today. Dy Chairman enquired about the progress of the SAMAGRA Shiksha scheme and the allied schemes of the sector in the schools of Leh district. The meeting further discussed Padhna Likhna Abhiyaan, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Composite School Grants, Library Grants, Sports and Physical Education in all the schools of the district.
The officials apprised the Dy Chairman about the progress of educational schemes and respective grants in the schools of respective zones. Dy Chairman instructed the concerned officials to prepare a report in this regard. He also emphasized the proper distribution of books in school libraries especially written by Ladakhi authors. Further, he welcomed any feedback from the concerned officials and teachers to improve the quality of education in the Govt. schools of Leh.
The officials present at the meeting were Zonal Education Officers of Leh, Nyoma, Nubra; Zonal Resource Persons (ZRPs) of Khaltse, Durbuk, Kharu, and OSD to Director School Education, Ladakh.
