Director RD&PRD visits Badgam, inaugurates Panchayat Ghar, CFC, Public Library, NRLM Centre Lays foundation stone of children park.

Kargil, May 27, 2023: Director Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD), Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi today visited Badgam village of Kargil Block and inaugurated Panchayat Ghar, Common Facility Centre (CFC), Public Library and National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) Centre constructed under Special Development Package (SDP), Grant-in-Aid, etc.
ACD, Kargil, Ghulam Mohammad, DPO Kargil, Padma Angmo, BDC Chairperson Khatija Bano, BDO Kargil, Samina Khatoon, AEE and other officials of the department accompanied the Director during the visit.
During the visit, a meeting was also held in which the Director in the presence of other officials interacted with PRI members and villagers and discussed some issues.
The Director also inaugurated a public Library renovated under Grant-in-Aid repair and renovation BDC and NRLM Centre constructed under SDP-BDC fund. He assured the villagers for providing the required material for other construction works under MGNREGA.
He instructed the concerned officers to start the construction of other development works at the earliest. Zubdavi directed to focus on NRLM program that supports Self-Help Group (SHGs) members to set up small enterprises in the village.
During the inauguration of the NRLM Centre, it was informed that four CRP members from Telangana shall stay in Panchayat Badgam for the next 10 days starting from today (May 27) and will form SHGs to provide training to women to earn their livelihood.
He also laid the foundation stone of children park at Badgam village. In the end, the Director gave a patient hearing to the public grievances and assured them for redressal.
