DG BRO Lt Gen Rajiv Chaudhry visits Zanskar

KARGIL, APRIL 16, 2022: Director General Border Road Organization (DG BRO) Lt General Rajiv Chaudhry accompanied by Chief Engineer project Yojak visited Zanskar subdivision on Friday.
Executive Councilor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affair, LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi, Officiating Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, Tsering Nurboo and Station House Officer Zanskar received the DGBRO at Kilima on behalf of the administration with traditional Khataqs.
A warm and colorful reception was also presented to the DGBRO at village Zangla by President Zanskar Buddhist Association, Zanskar Gonpa Association, Zanskar Muslim Association, Zanskar Buddhist Association youth wing and villagers of Zangla. A colorful cultural program was also presented at the event.
While addressing the gathering at Zangla, the DG BRO announced to set up a Task Force Station at Padum along with two RCC one each towards Dharcha and Neraq
Further, he assured that the Nimo Padum-Dharcha (NPD) road shall be completed within three years and assured that the local labourers shall be given equal preference in engagement, and wages shall be paid as per past in present setup of project VIJAYAK.
