DC Santosh signs MoU with SSRDP Trust to impart vocational training to youth

KARGIL, MAY 18, 2022: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trustee, Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust (SSRDP), Deepak Sharma to impart vocational training to youth at Industrial Training Institute Kargil.
The objective of the MoU is to impart vocational training to youth in the field of electrical and solar energy sector and assist them for consequent gainful employment in the fields.
The SSRDP under the agreement will set up state-of-the-art laboratories for Electrician and Solar trade at Government ITI Kargil.
The Deputy Commissioner and Trustee, SSRDP also discussed scopes and means to boost entrepreneurship in Kargil district.
DC Santosh further assured to provide both SHGs and individual aspirants an opportunity to boost entrepreneurship and production of local products in the district.
The SSRDP also proposed to adopt few schools in border areas to provide leadership and personality development skills among students.
The SSRDP further proposed to provide training-cum-tour for bright and budding entrepreneurs at their Art of Leaving International Centre at Bengaluru.
