DC Santosh convenes preparatory meeting for 8th Yoga Day celebrations

KARGIL, JUNE 11, 2022: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today convened a meeting to make arrangements for 8th Yoga Day celebrations in Kargil.
The meeting discussed arrangements in order to celebrate the yoga day at different locations including the major event at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium, Biamathang, all Higher Secondary Schools, at the Panchayat level etc.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the arrangements for yoga trainers, yoga mat, transportation, refreshment, promotion, publicity and other necessary arrangements.
DC Santosh instructed the concerned officers to procure more yoga mats. He instructed the AD Information to disseminate the information in advance at mass level via social media platforms and other promotional means.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials of Education Department to make arrangements at Higher Secondary level to perform yoga. In addition, he also instructed the DYSSO to depute yoga trainers for all the events in the district.
The Nehru Yuva Kendra has been instructed to mark the day at Damsna picnic spot with their volunteers.
He further instructed to enrol the participants in advance for the mass event at Biamathang where Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra is expected to grace the occasion.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Iftikhar Choudhary, ACD Ghulam Muhammad, Chief Education Officer Mushtaq Ahmad, Executive Engineer R&B Er Muhammad Sadiq, DPO/ AD Information Padma Angmo, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Abid Ali, Dy CMO Dr Mohd Abass, Coordinator NYK and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
