DC Leh reviews Annual Action Plan 2021-2022 of NYK Leh

Leh, Aug 07: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse, convened a meeting of the District Advisory Committee on Youth Programme to review the Annual Action Plan 2021-2022 of Nehru Yuka Kendra (NYK), Leh.

The committee members discussed the roles and programmes to be carried out by NYK according to the action plan.

DC Leh, Shrikant Suse, directed the concerned officials of various departments such as Health, Higher Education, Youth Services and Sports, Social Welfare and Industries to collaborate and engage Nehru Yuva Kendra to spread awareness about their schemes and plans at the grassroots level since NYK has a widespread reach in all the blocks and villages.

DC Leh also directed the Chief Planning Officer, Leh, to organise an orientation session for the volunteers of NYK with the major departments as a capacity-building mechanism.

He also directed CPO to involve NYK actively in Jal Jeevan Mission- “Pani Maah” and ‘catch the rain’ campaign for awareness and better community participation.
