    Day-long seminar on “ Legacy of Tashi Rabgias and his contribution to Ladakhi Literature & Culture” held in Leh

    Leh, Oct 20: Commemorating the 95th Birth & 1st Death Anniversary of late scholar Shri Tashi Rabgias, Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Leh & Tashi Rabgyas Memorial Foundation under the aegis of LAHDC Leh organised a day-long seminar under the banner, “ Legacy of Tashi Rabgias and his Contributions to Ladakhi Literature & Culture” at the Lotsava Auditorium of the Academy today.
    Executive Councillor for Art & Culture, LAHDC-Leh, Stanzin Chosphel was the chief guest during the seminar. Six prominent scholars/writers of Ladakh viz. Prof. Jamyang Gyaltsen, Prof. Lobzang Tsewang, Dr Urgyan Dadul, Nawang Tsering Shakspo and Tsewang Dorje, Dongbos presented papers on aspects of late Tashi Rabgias and his contributions to the Ladakhi culture in general and literature in particular during the sessions.
    EC Chosphel in his address expressed that such kinds of literary functions and seminars need to be organised at a regular interval with the involvement of youths. This will encourage and educate the young generation with the legacy of an eminent personality like late Shri Tashi Rabgias.
    Dr Nawang Tsering, former Director, CIBS chaired the second session. Other dignitaries present during the seminar were President Ladakh Culture Forum, Mipham Otsal, and its executive members. A threadbare discussion was also held after the paper presentation of the paper readers
