    CEC along with DC Kargil visit Sodh area Takes detailed assessment JJM works in different villages of Sodh Block

    KARGIL, JULY 21, 2022:
    Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan along with Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today visited Sodh area and took a detailed assessment of JJM works in different villages of Sodh Block.
    Executive Councilor Tourism Er Phunsok Tashi, Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Superintending Engineering R&B Nisar Ahmed Bagh, Superintending Engineer PHE and I&FC Maqbool Hussain, Executive Engineers of I&FC, PHE, R&B and concerned officers accompanied the CEC during the tour.
    During the tour, the CEC visited Apate, Tumail and Akchamal Grong villages and took a detailed assessment of the works undergoing under the JJM.
    During the tour, CEC Khan along with dignitaries interacted with the villagers and took feedback from them regarding the execution of works undergoing under JJM.
    Later, the CEC and DC Kargil formally inaugurated JJM units of the villages of Tumail and Grong Akchamal and also took feedback on the JJM works in Apati village.
    The concerned officer informed that in Tumail and Grong Akchamal, 100 percent target has been achieved. Further at Apati, the works will be completed within 10 days.
    The PRI members and villagers of the areas expressed gratitude to LAHDC Kargil and District Administration for making ways in providing drinking water in tough dry terrain of Sodh under JJM.
    The Deputy Commissioner Kargil advised the villagers to take care of the infrastructure and avoid wastage of water.
    The CEC along with the dignitaries also visited micro drip irrigation plant at Apati village that will serve 2 hectares of cultivable land.
    CEC Khan was informed that works of Rs 8 crores under the said project are undergoing. Further out of the 23 sites, 8 locations have been identified for micro drip irrigation works.
