    CAO Kargil flags off progressive farmers’ group for 7 day training, exposure tour to Srinagar

    KARGIL, SEPTMBER 07, 2021: On the direction of the Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Kargil Kacho Muhammad Ali Khan flagged off a group of 70 progressive farmers for 7 day training and exposure visit to different parts of Srinagar here today.
    The exposure tour has been organized by the Agriculture Department Kargil under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
    Officer In Charge/ State Nodal Officer PM- Kisan Muhammad Hussain Khan, District Agriculture Officer (DAO) Ashiq Hussain, District Agriculture Officer Extension (DAEO) Muhammad Iqbal, Razia Banoo Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) besides other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
    Speaking on the occasion, CAO Kargil said that during the course of the visit, the progressive farmers are scheduled to visit Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKAUST) Campus Shalimar and agriculture farms.
    The DAO added that the aim of this visit is to equip farmers with modern ways of farming and techniques along with innovative, progressive farming, adding he said that experts will also provide training to farmers during the exposure tour.
