    Archery competition concludes at TSG Block

    KARGIL, MARCH 11, 2022: Under Khelo India initiative, an archery competition organized by District Youth Services and Sports Department in collaboration with Zonal Physical Education Office Sankoo, concluded today at community ground Saliskote.
    Executive Councilor for Social Welfare, Aga Syed Arman was the chief guest while District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma was the guest of honour.
    Speaking on the occasion, the EC appreciated the organizers for successfully conducting the competition and hailed the participation of girls in the event. He said girls no longer lag behind in any field and their participation will increase in the future.
    The EC urged the students to take sports as a career option and advised them to take benefit of these competitions to enrich their skills which will further result in participation at national and international platforms.
    He further said that LAHDC Kargil is committed to providing modern facilities and sports-related equipment at the doorsteps of students for which many initiatives have been taken and much more is in pipeline.
    On the occasion, DYSSO Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma thanked organizers, students, participants for successfully organizing the competition.
    He said DYSSO Kargil is always at the doorsteps of the students in terms of felicitating sports-related events and supporting them in achieving their dreams.
    Rehnuma said there is no dearth of talent in Kargil while timely intervention and guidance will help to win more medals at national and international level platforms.
    Pertinently, under 14 category, 10 teams participated out of which Middle School Yokma Saliskote won from Sawab public school G.M. Pore.
    Similarly, under 17 category, 4 girls team and 4 boys team participated. In girls category, Girls High School G.M. Pore defeated High Secondary Trespone.
    Under 17 category, Boys Mutaharry Public High School Saliskote defeated Higher Secondary School Saliskote.
    Meanwhile, the concluding ceremony of the event ended with the prize distribution ceremony during which winners, runner ups and participants were felicitated.
