    Acting CEC Syed Abass Razvi inspects winter tuition centres at Taisuru

    KARGIL, FEBRUARY 17, 2022: Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil/Executive Councilor (EC) for Works, Aga Syed Abbas Razvi along with EC Tourism, Er Phungsok Tashi today inspected winter tuition centres in various schools at Taisuru block.
    Councilor Lankerchey, Ghulam Haider, Assistant Director Tourism Kargil, Syed Toha Aga, Deputy Chief Education Officer Kargil, Jameel Beigh, Zonal Education Officer Taisuru, Akbar Ali besides other concerned officers accompanied the acting CEC during the visit.
    During the visit, the acting CEC along with EC Tourism visited Government Middle School Geiling, Government Middle School Purtikchey, Government High School Kargi and Government Higher Secondary School Panikhar.
    He inquired from students about the availability of teaching staff and facilities like heating system, availability of masks, sanitizers and cleanliness of classrooms.
    Razvi directed the teaching staff and students to follow COVID-19 SOPs issued by District Administration Kargil in letter and spirit in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
    The EC assured that LAHDC Kargil is fully committed to provide quality education to the students in these tough times for which several measures have been taken.
    While interacting with students, Razvi expressed satisfaction over the functioning of winter tuition classes at various schools and ensured to strengthen the education system.
    He also appreciated the efforts of teaching staff and village committee members for their continuous support and cooperation in providing education to students.
    The acting CEC along with EC Tourism also inspected various vocational training centres of the Handloom Department under the subsidy component and interacted with trainees about the handloom products being produced from the centres.
    Earlier, they visited Handloom Weaving Centre, Sankoo and inspected its various sections. While interacting with trainees, they hailed their efforts in producing handloom products from the centre.
    Meanwhile, the acting CEC and EC Tourism also visited Umba village where they inspected Ice Formation Waterfall and Ice Hockey Rink.
