A farewell programme was organised by the Fisheries Department, Leh to Dr Mohmmad Raza Abbasi, Director ASH and Fisheries UT Ladakh at Fish Farm Shey.

Leh, March 22: A farewell programme was organised by the Fisheries Department, Leh to Dr Mohmmad Raza Abbasi, Director ASH and Fisheries UT Ladakh at Fish Farm Shey.

The programme was attended by EC Fisheries and Minority Affairs, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi; District officers of Kargil, Dr Iftikhar and Dr Niyaz ul Hussain; AO to Director Dr Stanzin Rabgyas; Technical Officer to Director Dr Dorjey; Assistant Director Fisheries Leh; Mohammad Ameen and officers and staff members of Fisheries Department Leh.

Director appreciated the efforts of fisheries officials in rapid development of the Department post-formation of UT. He further stressed keeping up the pace of development and thanked everyone for organising the programme.

EC Fisheries and Minority Affairs, LAHDC Leh, Ghulam Mehdi hailed the efforts of the Director in bringing up the department. Also, he appreciated the dedication and commitment of the outgoing officer in discharging his duties during his tenure. He also wished him a good and healthy post-retirement life and hoped that he will contribute to society even after retirement.

In the end, AD Fisheries, Mohmmad Ameen thanked the Director for his contribution towards the holistic development of the Fisheries Department and his continuous support at every level. He wished him good health, prosperity, and success in future.
