    2 deaths; 240 new positive cases report in UT Ladakh; 231 patients cured and discharged

    Leh, May 15: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 240 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 170 reports were received by CMO Leh and 70 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.
    UT Ladakh reports the death of two patients from Covid-19 yesterday; one each in Leh and Kargil. The total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 163; 118 in Leh and 45 in Kargil.
    The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 231 patients yesterday. Out of which 196 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 35 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 1554; 1252 in Leh district and 302 in Kargil district.
    The bulletin further informs that 375 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 21 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post on Thursday and 42 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Upshi check post on Thursday.
