UT level contingent will be participating in the upcoming 25th National Youth Festival

Leh, December 31: Sh. Ravinder Kumar, IAS, Secretary Sports, UT Ladakh, chaired an important meeting regarding the celebration of the 25th National Youth Festival in District and UT Level in the UT of Ladakh. The Secretary has informed that the UT level contingent will be participating in the upcoming 25th National Youth Festival to be held at Puducherry from January 12 to 16, 2022. The theme of this year’s youth festival is Sri Aurobindo- Great philosopher, Yoga guru and Indian nationalist. It is to celebrate his contribution to the Indian struggle and impact on society.

It was directed that the festival shall be celebrated on the above theme and competition will be held in collaboration with all the stakeholders viz., School Education Department, Youth Service and Sports Department and Nehru Yuva Kendra of the respective Districts, on January 6, 2022, in respective districts and on January 8, 2022, UT level celebration and competitions and directed to follow all the Covid-19 protocol/guidelines issued by the respective administration.

Further, a UT level contingent shall be selected to participate in the 25th National Youth Festival to be held at Puducherry from January 12 to 16, 2022.

The meeting was attended by the officials of the Education Department, Youth Services and Sports Department and Nehru Yuva Kendra.
