Secy, Tourism Mehboob reviews progress of work in Tourism Department

Leh, August 04: Secretary, Tourism & Culture, UT Ladakh, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan (IRS), chaired a meeting of the Tourism Department & Tourism Development Authorities to review the progress of the status of the ongoing/ new works under SDP, State Capex, District Plan (Revenue as well as Capital) in his office chamber at UT Secretariat Ladakh
Discussion in varied issues such as dismantling and reconstruction of tourist bunglow at Mulbekh, tourist bungalow at panikhar, upgradation of rooms and bathrooms at additional block at Drass tourist bunglow/ installation of solar space heating, renovation of tourist bungalow 1st and 2nd Kargil, construction of change room at rafting point Kochik Panikar, upgradation of taxi stand, Leh, construction of eco Cultural park at Leh, main market (phase-I), construction of cafeteria cum public convenience between Khaltsi and Kargil border & Phyang and Khaltsi, conservation of heritage sites in Leh (Insaa, Hanu, Hanlay); preservation of rock art Alchi model village, pilgrimage tourism and providing wire mesh fencing with angle iron frame along the approach road to Thiksay Monastery for protection of plants etc
Secy, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan, inquired about the issues faced by the officials. He directed the concerned officers to give a monthly progress report (Physical & Financial). Further asked the officers to process DPRs/ AA/ Tendering process of new works/ schemes and allot the work at the earliest and impressed upon the officials to prioritise procurement and the billing of the current work.
