    Secy Ravinder reviews functionalisation of Milk Pasteurization Plant

    Leh, Nov 15: Secretary, Cooperatives and Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, UT Ladakh Ravinder Kumar chaired an important meeting regarding functionalisation of Milk Pasteurization Plant at Agling, Leh.
    During the meeting, the Secretary was apprised about the progress of both civil and mechanical works at the plant and was informed that more than 90% of the work has been completed and the rest is expected to get completed within 3 to 4 weeks.
    Secretary Ravinder Kumar directed the concerned officers of the Cooperative Department to complete all other formalities, including FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) certification on time so that Ladakh Milk Federation would be able to participate in the tenders of the Indian Army for the supply of fresh pasteurized milk to them.
    Later, Secretary also informed that a meeting with the NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) would be held soon regarding hand-holding and technical support to run the plant.
    The meeting was attended by Additional Registrar Cooperative, Dr Mohd Raza; OSD to Secretary, Dr Stanzin Thakchos; Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Leh, Dr Mohd Abbas and representatives from the IDMC (Indian Dairy Machinery Company).
