Secy Ravinder conducts two-day official tour of Nubra valley

Leh, Feb 16: Administrative Secretary, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar conducted a two-day official tour of the Nubra valley. Secretary was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Suse; SDM Nubra, Lakshya Singhal; senior officers of the Power Development Department, LREDA, and concerned officers of the departments.
Secretary Ravinder reviewed the developmental activities of the departments including Power Development, Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency (LREDA), Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture, Youth Services and Sports and Cooperative Department.
During his two-day visit, the Secretary met various delegations and representatives of Nubra valley and gave a patient hearing to their grievances. He also visited various proposed and completed projects of Power Development and LREDA. He also reviewed the functioning of Yak breeding farm and Trout fish farms at Deskit. Further, he visited the proposed hydropower project sites at Changmar and Rongdo and visited the mini hydel project of LREDA at Chamshen.
Secretary attended the final match of Late Col. Rinchen T20 cricket match at Sumoor along with the Deputy Commissioner, Leh and SDM. Additionally, he reviewed the progress of the Ice hockey rink being constructed by the Rural Development Department at Sumoor.
Later, the Secretary and Deputy Commissioner, Leh in presence of SDM Nubra, distributed fresh winter vegetables to far flung areas including Hunderdok, Pachathang, Digger ,Tangyar, Rongjuk and Largyab procured by the Cooperative Department.
