    Leh: Secretary, Higher Education, Padma Angmo today reviewed the status of examination results of the Degree Colleges of Ladakh with the Controller of Examination (CoE), University of Ladakh, Prof. Deskyong Namgyal and Deputy Controller of Examination (DyCoE), University of Kashmir, Feroz Ahmad Gurkau and Principal, Government Degree College, Drass, Dr Amjad.
    The Secretary was apprised that results of the 3rd Semester exams have been declared whereas the remaining results would also be declared after due verification by the Controller of Examination, University of Ladakh. The Deputy Controller of Examination assured that Kashmir University would expedite the process to declare all the results at the earliest.
    She also asked the officials to segregate the results of students of the final year without any pending backlogs, and separately declare their results to avoid upholding their results due to pending backlog by other students of their batch.
    Secretary Padma also asked the officials to streamline the process of declaration of results to avoid reoccurrence of delays in the future. CoE, University of Ladakh, stated that a mechanism has been devised to upload the data online due to which such issues would not occur in the future and declaration of results would be expedited.
    Earlier, Secretary Higher Education met with students protesting at the EJM College and assured them that the Administration is taking all possible steps to find a lasting solution to this recurring issue of delay in the declaration of results. She also informed the students that the Director of the University of Ladakh is in Srinagar to coordinate with authorities of Kashmir University.
    Meanwhile, the result of the 3rd Semester of batches 2016, 2017 and 2018 (including backlog) was declared by the Kashmir University today. The pending results are for the examinations, (regular and backlog) held in July-August 2020.
