    KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 07, 2021: Secretary Tourism, Culture, Labour and Employment Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan convened a meeting to review the physical and financial progress achieved on different developmental works and schemes in respect of the departments under his charge during the current financial year 2021-2022 at Tourist Facilitation Center here on Monday.
    Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil Er Ved Prakash, Chief Executive Officer Kargil Development Authority (KDA) Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Deputy Director Employment, Deputy Secretary Culture, Assistant Director Tourism, Executive Engineers of R&B-II, REW, Suru Valley Division Sankoo and KDA, District Librarian Kargil besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
    Secretary Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan took a detailed review from the concerned officers of the respective departments in order to assess the physical and financial progress of developmental works achieved during the current financial year.
    The Secretary directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of developmental works in order to achieve maximum progress during the current year. He also directed the concerned officers to ensure strict adherence to quality and quantity parameters in the construction works.
    With regard to the requirement of manpower in various departments as highlighted by the officers, Secretary Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan directed them to provide details in this regard with proper justification for engagement of manpower through outsourcing.
    Meanwhile, stressing on the need to include local architecture in the construction, renovation and maintenance of the tourism related buildings, he said besides the unique landscape and natural beauty of Ladakh tourists are also interested to know the local art and architecture.
