Sankoo Campus GDC Kargil holds NEP awareness program at HSS Biama Purtikchey

Kargil, March 25, 2023: Sankoo Campus Government Degree College Kargil today conducted an awareness program on “New Education Policy in Higher Education” at Higher Secondary School, Biama Purtikchey.
A team from the campus led by Sajjad Hussain, Assistant Professor, Political Science visited the school in morning hours.
Nasir-Ud-Din Khafee, Assistant Professor, English and Dr Radhey Shyam Yadav were also present on the occasion.
The program was aimed at creating awareness about the basics of Higher Education under NEP 2020.
In the beginning, Shameem Ahmed, Lecturer Zoology welcomed the visiting team on behalf of the school.
Sajjad Hussain, Assistant Professor, Political Science gave a brief introduction of the program with key highlights. He also assured students to extend all possible help regarding admission guidance to the aspiring students at the campus.
Nasir-Ud-Din Khafee, Assistant Professor, English gave a detailed presentation about the New Education Policy and it’s objectives.
In his presentation, he made the students aware about the Course Structure, Multiple Entry and Exit System, Academic Bank of Credit and other significant details of Under Graduate Courses at Higher Education level.
Students of Classes 9- 12th participated in the program. They interacted with the resource persons regarding various issues related to the New Education Policy.
The students took keen interest in the program and thanked the college authorities for conducting such programs at the school.
The college authorities expressed gratitude to the School Principal for giving them an opportunity to interact with the students about this important issue.
Volunteer students from College’s NSS wing were engaged for prior arrangement of the program and helped actively in making the program successful.
The program concluded with vote of thanks by Principal of the school, Yahya Khan. In his concluding remarks, the principal urged the students to avail Higher Educational facilities being provided at their doorstep.
He appreciated the efforts of visiting team for timely conducting awareness program for the students of their institution.
The program was attended by all staff members of the school. This program will continue in other feeding schools of the college campus in the coming days as well.
