LREDA replaces battery of solar power plants at Lukung, Spangmik

Leh, July 2: LREDA successfully placed a new battery bank set at the Solar Power Plant in Lukung and Spangmik under the Battery Replacement Scheme of solar power plants under the Special Development Package after being directed by Secretary, PDD, Ravinder Kumar.
The off-grid solar power plant was installed under the Ladakh Renewable Initiative Scheme of Ladakh Project 2010. Around 20 sites have been proposed for replacing Solar Power Plants batteries at a budget of Rs 5.3 crores under the Special Development Package in the current financial year 21-22.
The work at the remaining 18 sites is currently in progress and would be completed in the next two months. Replacing battery banks was proposed for areas where grid connectivity is not available
