    Lieutenant Governor’s ‘Commendation Certificate’ to meritorious BRO Personnel

    Leh, January 25: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Sh. R.K. Mathur awarded 10 BRO personnel with the first-ever “Commendation Certificate” to recognize their extraordinary contribution towards the creation and maintenance of infrastructure for the defence forces and civil population residing in the Union territory of Ladakh while serving with Project Vijayak and Himank.
    These commendation certificates have been granted on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day on January 26, 2022. These persons are: Project Vijayak – AE (Civ) Ramesh K; JE (Civ) Lakhan Kumar Singh; JE (Civ) Avinash Chandra; MSWMason Pawan Sharma; CP Maz Tundup Dorjey, and from Project Himank – JE (Civ) Vineet Kumar Singh; JE (Civ) Diwakar Kumar; SS Sonu Kumar Singh; DVRMT-II Narsude Devendra Limbaji; Veh Mech Lovedeep.
    The persons selected for the commendation have been chosen from the entire spectrum of two Projects Himank and Vijayak of BRO to include officers and other ranks, all who have contributed their best towards achieving common objectives, irrespective of their position and completely regardless of their own comforts. This would indeed go a long way in further motivating BRO personnel to give their utmost towards the overall development and prosperity of Ladakh region.
    BRO is a premier organization constructing and maintaining infrastructure in the most challenging terrains of India, playing a pivotal role in the development of the country. BRO is entrusted with creating and maintaining many strategic roads in Ladakh, including the important Umlingla, Changla, Khardungla, Zojila, Lachungla, Namkila, Hambotingla, and Fotula Passes and has endeared itself to the local population with its commitment and dedication.
