Ladakh Resident Certificate issued in Tehsils across Kargil

KARGIL, OCTOBER 18, 2021: Following the recent order of the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh authorizing the concerned Tehsildars as the competent authority to issue the resident certificate, special camps were held today in all Tehsildar offices in the district for issuance of the resident certificates.
Executive Councilor for Health Mohsin Ali received the first resident certificate at Shakar Chiktan Tehsil from Tehsildar Kacho Asgar Ali Khan.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil Tsering Motup in presence of the Tehsildar Kargil Muhammad Salim Wazir and Naib Tehsildar Sajjad Hussain issued the first resident certificate at Tehsildar Office Kargil while at Sankoo Tehsil, SDM Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani in presence of Tehsildar Kaniz Fatima issued the resident certificate.
At Zanksar and Drass Tehsils SDM Sonam Dorjay and SDM Anwar Hussain issued the first resident certificate, while in case of Tai Suru and Shargole Tehsils Tehsildars Sajjad Hussain and Sonam Joldan issued the resident certificates respectively.
Pertinently, the process of issuance of certificates will continue at all Tehsildar offices in the district during the coming days.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Kargil, special camps will be organized by the Tehsildars in different parts of the district in close coordination with the PRI members, Nambardars etc especially in the remote and far off areas to impart awareness to the local population and to facilitate them in issuance of the resident certificates.
