Kisan Goshti training progamme held in Nyoma

Leh, Aug 04: Agriculture Department, Leh, today conducted a farmers training programme ‘Kisan Goshti’ under Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) programme at Nyoma. Executive Councillor, Agriculture, LAHDC Leh, Stanzin Chosphel was the chief guest for the event.
EC Chosphel stressed the need for a Special Development Package for Changthang. He also assured to provide poly-carbonated greenhouse sheets, trench, agricultural tools and seeds to the farmers.
The farmers were made aware of the importance of organic farming and various farming and irrigation methods, including drip and sprinkler irrigation.
Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang; Director, Mission Organic Development Initiative (MODI), UT Ladakh, Tashi Tsetan; Sub-divisional Agricultural Officer, Tashi Dolma and other concerned officers and officials of the department; Nambardar Nyoma; Women’s Alliance Nyoma and farmers from Nyoma, Mudh and Nidder attended the training programme.
