In view of the rising rates of vegetable items in the district, Chairman/ CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting today to discuss the fixation of reasonable rates of vegetable items in Leh.
He further instructed the concerned departmental officers to revise the rates as per the norms. He strictly advised them to take stringent actions against the defaulters. Furthermore, CEC Gyalson also instructed the vendors through the members of the association to ensure the display of the official rate list issued by the department in the respective shops.
Dy Chairman/EC FCS & CA, Tsering Angchuk; DC Leh, Shrikant Suse; ADC Leh Sonam Chosjor; Dy Registrar Cooperatives Leh, AD FCS & CA Leh, officials of Legal Metrology Department, President of Merchant Association Leh, and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
On the instruction of DC Leh, inspections were conducted by teams led by ADC Leh in the market to check the present rates of vegetable items in Leh.
