ICDS Project Zanskar organizes awareness camp at Ufti Pibiting Zanskar

Kargil, August 18, 2022: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, ICDS Project Zanskar Wednesday organized a Panchayat level awareness camp at Duzin Photang High School Ufti regarding different schemes of ICDS and Social Welfare Department.Supervisor ICDS Zanskar, Sadiq Ali explained different schemes of ICDS and Social Welfare Department, such as Umbrella ICDS, PMMVY, Poshan Abhiyan, different services of ICDS, scholarship schemes like pre-matric and post-matric scholarship for minority and tribal students, different fellowship programs, such as National Overseas Scholarships, merit cum means scholarship etc.He also briefed about different pension schemes under National Social Assistance Program provided by Social Welfare Department, such as Old Age Pension Scheme, Widow Pension, Pension for Disabled Persons, National Family Benefit Scheme, State Marriage Assistance Scheme etc.Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Ufti-Pibiting, Lobzang Dolma and all the Panches, PRI members of the Panchayat Halqa took part in the event.The Sarpanch also briefed the audience and stressed upon taking benefit of different ICDS schemes, pension and scholarship schemes.Principal Duzin Photang High School also briefed the audience and thanked ICDS and Social Welfare Department for organizing such an awareness camp on scholarship and pension schemes. More than 300 participants attended the event.
