Horticulture Dept organises one-day farmer training programme in Martselang

Leh, July 01: As a part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ a one-day farmer training programme of budding techniques on fruit crops especially apple and apricot was organised by the Department of Horticulture, Leh in Martselang village.
Executive Councillor, Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel was the chief guest and Director Horticulture, Mohd Yusuf Dhar was the guest of honour.
Chief Horticulture Officer, Tsewang Phuntsog; District Horticulture Officer, Kunzang Wangmo and Incharge HDO Kharu were also present.
During the programme, a practical demonstration of budding techniques was also shown in the farmer’s field. Executive Councillor, Stanzin Chospel directed the farmers to take benefit of today’s programme. Also, the farmers were briefed about the schemes run by the Department and directed to take benefit of all the schemes.
