‘Good Governance Week’: FCS&CA Kargil organizes awareness camp at Shakar Chiktan

Kargil, Dec 22, 2022:
As part of the celebration of ‘Good Governance Week’ being observed across Kargil district under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), themed “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur”, Department of FCS&CA Kargil today organized an awareness camp on fortified rice in Shakar Chiktan subdivision.
SDM Shakar Chiktan, Mohd Sharief Kakpori was the chief guest while Haji Mohd Mussa, Sarpanch Yoqma Kharboo, was the guest of honour on the occasion. Mohd Yusuf Chief Inspector, BMO Shakar Chiktan, Food Safety Officer Kargil, all PRI members, Lambardar Shakar Chiktan were present in the awareness camp.
The Chief Inspector FCS&CA Kargil briefed about fortified rice and other schemes provided by the department. He stressed on mandatory of Aadhaar seeding with ration cards and explained POS machine provided by the government to all Sale Centres to maintain transparency and accountability in issuing rice to the general public.
Food Safety Officer Kargil and BMO Shakar Chiktan briefed people about fortified rice and its benefits. Haji Mohd Mussa Sarpanch thanked the department for organizing the awareness camp and also briefed about the fortified rice.
SDM Shakar Chiktan explained the importance of the ‘Good Governance Week’. He thanked PRI members and Lambardar for participating in the awareness camp.
He appealed all participants to further spread awareness regarding fortified rice and other government schemes to the general public of their respective areas.
The SDM appreciated FCS&CA Department for organizing such an awareness camp in the Sub-Division under the banner of ‘Good Governance Week.’
In the end, Anayatullah Rahi, TSO Shakar Chiktan thanked the guests, officers, PRI members, Lambardar and all participants for making the event successful.
