GDC Nubra organises virtual symposium on World Environment Day

Leh, June 5: The Department of Environmental Science, Government Degree College (GDC), Nubra, organised a virtual symposium on Environmental Awareness on World Environment Day. The staff and students of the College attended the event.
Students spoke on the theme of this year’s World Environment Day, UN decade of ecosystem restoration. The students highlighted the need to restore traditional water conservation techniques in Ladakh, including zings or water reservoirs and the importance of celebrating this day.
Razia Bano of the First Semester shared the importance of the event followed by presentations by the students. Tsewang Lhamo, Assistant Professor, GDC Nubra, gave the vote of thanks.
