GDC Nubra organises online reading event

Leh: July 16: The English and Urdu departments of Government Degree College, Nubra, today organised a one-day online reading event in collaboration with the Library Committee and Debate and Seminar Committee of the College. The event aimed to emphasise and highlight the importance of reading.
Principal, GDC Nubra, Dr Tsewang Motup, highlighted the importance of inculcating reading habits among students and encouraged them to avail the benefit of the technologies to read and utilise the library at the College.
Urdu Lecturer, Dr Imtiaz Ahmad Alie, Moomin Ahmad Rather, Stanzin Wangmo and fifth-semester students talked about the significance of reading and its benefits. Students Fatima Bano, Padma Dolker and Nahida Parveen recited poems and short stories.
Librarian, Diskit Angmo, shared links to online learning platforms with the students.
