    GDC Kargil organizes week-long cricket tournament (2)

    KARGIL, DECEMBER 02, 2021: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Department of Physical Education and Sports GDC Kargil in collaboration with the College Sports Committee organized a week-long College Premier League (CPL) cricket tournament.
    In the tournament, a team of 20 students from different semesters and staff participated. The final match was played between RLC Guys and Semester Warriors in which RLC Guys defeated Semester Warrior by twenty runs.
    On the occasion, Principal GDC Kargil Dr Amina Qari and senior professors felicitated the finalist of the tournament and winners of past sports events including Inter House Table Tennis, Volleyball and Marathon (Run for Unity) competitions with medals and certificates.
    The principal appreciated participants and highlighted the importance of physical education and sports in day-to-day life and for a healthy lifestyle.
    Later, students presented cultural programs which enthralled the audience.
    The welcome address was presented by the college’s Director Sports Mohd Yasin while Professor Amjad Hussain presented the vote of thanks.
