GDC Drass organizes career counselling session

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 05, 2021: Government Degree College (GDC) Drass organized a career counselling session in the college campus here on Saturday.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Kargil Raziya Khatoon was the resource person on the occasion who enlightened the students how to prepare for civil services examinations and how she cracked JKPSC civil services in the first attempt. She briefly explained about the pattern of civil services examinations and the importance of general studies and how it relates to our daily life. She further advised students to consider their interest and competency while opting for the optional paper.
The ALC Kargil further said that during the journey of civil services preparation, one can learn qualities which are needed to become an administrator, she said adding that our perspective becomes broader when we go through the civil services preparation process. She also exhorted students to remain confident and work with consistency.
Earlier, during the welcome address Principal GDC Drass Dr Amjad Ali Abassi expressed thankfulness to the ALC Kargil for sparing her time to interact with the students. He also spoke about various career related activities planned by the college in near future through the Career Counselling Cell.
The programme concluded with a question answer session.
Professor Shujat Ali Mir, Convenor Career Counselling Cell delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
