Full dress rehearsal ahead of Republic Day held in Kargil

    KARGIL JANUARY 24, 2021: Ahead of the 73rd Republic Day celebrations in district headquarter Kargil, a full dress rehearsal was today held at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium, Bemathang.

    Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Tsering Motup unfurled the national flag and inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.

    Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarter, Muhammad Aslam Mir and officers of Civil Administration and Police Department were present on the occasion.

    The march past was presented by the contingents of Ladakh Police, cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Police band party. The rehearsal was held by following all the measures of Covid-19 including wearing of masks and social distancing.

    Meanwhile, the rehearsal regarding the republic day celebrations were also held at sub divisional and Tehsil headquarters of the district, where concerned Sub-District Magistrates and Tehsildars inspected the programs and reviewed the arrangements.

    In sub division Zanskar, similar dress rehearsal was conducted at tourist Dagnanglow Padum where Naib Tehsildar, Muhammad Ibrahim Khan hoisted the national flag.

    Ladakh police, ex-serviceman of Ladakh Scout and students of Government Higher Secondary School Padum participated in the dress rehearsal.

    Similarly, full dress rehearsal was held at Mini Stadium Sankoo which was presided over by Tehsildar Sankoo, Kaneez Fatima. She also unfurled the National Flag.

    She also inspected the parade and saluted at March Past. The march past was presented by the contingent of Ladakh Police. On the occasion, all the sub-divisional level officers and officials were present
