    FTII’s short online Film Appreciation course successfully concludes

    Leh, October 13: Short online Film Appreciation course conducted by Film & Television Institute of India, Pune, free of cost for Schedule Tribe participants of Ladakh concluded today.
    Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Information, UT Ladakh, Padma Angmo appreciated Professor Ganga Mukhi, for conducting the session on Film Appreciation. She also requested the students to share about the remaining courses on smartphone film making, screen play writing and screen acting with their friends. She thanked the Director FTII Pune and his faculty for providing these courses to the people of Ladakh.
    In his speech, Bhupendra Kaithola, Director FTII Pune, appreciated the students for attending the classes. He encouraged them to prepare and apply for FTII entrance exams as well. Further, he expressed that after covid-19 situation normalizes, FTII Pune, would like to conduct various film courses in Leh and Kargil. He thanked the UT Administration for their initiatives and efforts to organize these offline courses for the first time in Ladakh.
    In her address, Professor Ganga Mukhi, Film Direction, FTII, said the experience for her was magical. Even though she and her students were distance apart yet they could come together and discuss the art of cinema.
    The students expressed their gratitude toward UT Administration of Ladakh and FTII Pune for giving them a platform to learn and understand cinema. Some of the students were introduced to foreign cinema for the first time. They said that this course would greatly help them in their video projects and future career prospects.
    The valedictory session was attended by Padma Angmo, Secretary Information, UT Ladakh; Bhupendra Kaithola, Director FTII, Pune; Prof. Sandeep Shahare, Dean TV and Prof. Ganga Mukhi, Film Direction, FTII.
    These online short courses are being organized by FTII as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration pan India. It is to mention that the next course of Smartphone Filmmaking will commence from October 18 till October 22 and interested people can apply for the course till October 17.
