EC Tashi convenes meeting to review progress of various schemes

KARGIL, JUNE 23, 2022: Executive Councillor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affair Er Punchok Tashi today convened a meeting with SDM Zanskar Sonam Dorjay, BDO Karsha, Cha and Zanskar, Executive Engineer ZDA and R&B to review the physical and financial progress of various schemes such as CAPEX, State Sector, SDP, MGNREGA etc. at Tourist Dak Bunglow Padum.
The EC was briefed about the status of various ongoing developmental works being executed under ZDA, R&B and RDD Zanskar.
Executive Engineer R&B informed that all the ongoing road works in Sham area shall complete the blacktop this year.
EC Tashi directed the executive engineers to immediately complete the tendering of pending works under SDP scheme for 100 percent expenditure.
BDO Zanskar informed the EC that 30 percent of grey water management is completed under MGNREGA in Zanskar subdivision.
The EC directed the Executive Engineer ZDA to install 5kv solar power plant at Tourist Facilitation Centre Rangdum. He also directed the Executive Engineers to ensure clearance of waste at working sites after completing the works.
After the meeting, EC Tashi inspected the under-construction work of Dak Banglow kitchen and directed the Executive Engineer to start the work of finishing of conference hall, kitchen and bathroom within 3 days.
Later, EC along with Executive Engineer, AEE and JEs of ZDA visited H H Dalai Lama Photang to review the preparedness of His Holiness visit in July this year and also discussed with ZBA president about the preparation. He also inspected the under-construction photang gate and directed to complete it at the earliest.
