EC RDD inspects work on under-construction primary school building at Balti Bazaar

KARGIL, APRIL 28, 2022: Executive Councilor for Rural Development Department (RDD) and Zanskar Affairs LAHDC, Kargil, Er Tashi Phunsok today took stock of the developmental work of the under-construction building of Primary School at Balti Bazaar here.
Councilor town Haji Abass, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineer REW Gulzar Hussain Munshi besides other concerned officers accompanied the EC during the visit.
The concerned officer apprised the EC that the total cost for the construction of the building is around Rs 157.27 lakhs out of which around Rs 80 lakhs has been spent till date.
He also informed that around 60 percent of construction work has been achieved while the remaining work will be completed at the earliest.
EC Tashi appreciated the collective efforts of the Executing Agency, Engineers and laborers and said the school building will set an example across Ladakh in terms of infrastructure development.
The ACD directed the concerned officers to complete the remaining construction work within two months and instructed to submit a revised tender for the remaining works including wooden flooring, electrification of the building, glazing and other related works.
