Earth Day celebrated at EJM College Leh

Leh, April 23: The Department of Environmental Science, Eco club, Green Club and NSS wing of Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh celebrated Earth Day.
The programme was convened by Dr. Sonam Wangmo, Department of Environmental Sciences.
Principal EJM College, Dr. Sameena Iqbal shared her views with the student on the importance and protection of the Environment.
Dr Sonam Wangmo talked about the significance of earth day and Zakiya Bano, a student of the 6th semester, spoke on this year’s theme ‘Invest in our Planet’.
The talk was followed by a documentary screening titled ‘Green Solidarity’ in the college multipurpose hall by Go Green Go Organic.
Later, a plantation drive, beautification of campus and cleanliness drive were carried out within the campus by students and the faculty members.
