Dy Chairman Angchuk inaugurates Apricot Blossom Festival at Tertsay, Nubra

Leh, April 22: Apricot Blossom Festival organised by Tourism Department, Leh was celebrated at Tertsay, Nubra. Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk inaugurated the festival in the presence of Councillor, Hunder, Kunzang Lotus.
Deputy Chairman Angchuk stressed the need of promoting sustainable tourism in Ladakh. While speaking about the rich cultural heritage, he urged the stakeholders of the tourism sector in Nubra to collectively contribute towards the Tourism sector by aligning their goals.
Councillor, Hunder constituency, Kunzang Lotus appreciated the efforts of the Tourism Department for organising such programs.
A variety of local artifacts,handloom and handicraft items, local food stalls were displayed during the event. Local artists enthralled the audience with their cultural performances.
BDC Chairperson, Diskit; AD Tourism Department, Leh; HoD’s of the Nubra block; Vice President, Hotel and Guest House, Nubra were present during the occasion.
