DLSA Leh organise pre-observe Children’s Day programme

Leh, Nov 12: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Leh organised a programme to pre-observe Children’s Day at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Leh under the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme. The event was a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
A quiz and debate competition was organised during the event. The winners were given medals and certificates.
Secretary, DLSA Leh, Phuntsog Angmo, spoke on various legal aid schemes and the functioning of Legal Aid Clinics and PLV’s. She urged the students to make their families and villagers aware of these schemes. Meanwhile, Chairman of TLSC Nubra, Wangial Tsering, highlighted the various provisions of POCSO. Panel lawyer Muzaffar Hussain spoke on the fundamental rights and duties and law as a career.
