DLSA Kargil organizes National Lok Adalat

KARGIL, DECEMBER 11, 2021: As per the directions of National Legal Services Authority ( NLSA) and Ladakh Legal Services Authority ( LLSA), National Lok Adalat was organized by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kargil here today at Kargil.
The event was organized under the guidance of Chairman DLSA Kargil M.R. Chak for cases which included pre-litigation matters as well as pending in the court like, Criminal compoundable matters, Cases under section 138, Bank recovery cases, Labour disputes cases, Electricity and water bills (excluding non-civil disputes), Matrimonial disputes and Other civil cases (Rent, Easementary rights, injunction suits) and specific performance suits etc.
In this connection four benches were constituted, first bench was presided over M.R Chak, the ld Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil, the second bench was presided over by Tsewang Phunstog the ld CJM Kargil, the third bench was presided over by Moneer Ahmad Munsiff Sankoo and the fourth bench was presided over by Abdul Gaffar Zargar ACR Kargil.
Earlier pre Lok Adalat Sessions were also held from 06-12-2021 to 10-12-2021 and a special pre Lok Adalat session was organized on 27-11-2021 which was joined by Ld. member Secretary Ladakh Legal Services Authority MK Sharma .
Further Special Pre Lok Adalat Session was held for the disposal of petty offenses from 01/12/2021 till 10/12/2021.
A total no. of 356 cases were referred to the National Lok Adalat and Pre Lok Adalat Sessions and out of the same, 245 no. of cases were disposed off and an amount of Rs 17082220 was recovered as settlement amount and Rs 101400 as fine.
